September Letter from the President

Greetings, ladies! I can’t believe September is upon us already. I just sent all 3 of my little monkeys back to school, and we are getting back in the swing of things. Getting up early after a summer of sleeping in is NOT the easiest thing in the world, I tell you!

Speaking of things that aren’t easy…One of the biggest challenges about taking over a new leadership role is understanding how to make the most useful impact in the time you have. Luckily, thanks to all of you who responded to our member survey during the summer, I have a good idea of where to focus. I’m very grateful for all the constructive feedback, and you can look forward to your SWC board trying some new things this year in an effort to make our club a more communicative, welcoming organization for everyone who joins.

I’ll talk more at our September luncheon about some of the exciting changes you can expect, so please be sure to RSVP soon. I’m thrilled that Ann and her family are going to share some of their history, and the history of Southlake, with us. I think it’s important as we head into our 30th year to first stop and look back at where we’ve been. This program is the perfect way to reflect on our past and gear up for an exciting year ahead!

See you on September 10 at Timarron Country Club!

-Sarah
