The Southlake Women’s Club, Inc. is a flourishing organization committed to supporting our community through active participation and service, charitable contributions, grants, and special events. We also work to cultivate friendship and fellowship through social, educational, and business gatherings.

Making a positive impact on the community for twenty-five years

The Southlake Women’s Club, Inc. was established in 1985 by six ladies who, in an effort to meet other ladies in Southlake, posted flyers inviting women to a get-acquainted coffee. Forty women attended that first gathering and laid the foundation for what the Southlake Women’s Club has become today.

While the initial goal of the club was to offer fellowship for the ladies of Southlake, the club's members soon recognized a strong desire to become more involved in their community. This legacy of Southlake pride, and of respect for our neighboring cities and towns, has grown tremendously over the past 25 years, as evidenced by our many community-driven fundraising efforts.

Entertaining & charitable initiatives in support of local organizations

Today a highly respected non-profit organization with more than 100 members, the Southlake Women's Club is responsible for presenting several successful fundraising and enrichment events that, over the years, have helped fund the needs—and fuel the excitement—of the community. These initiatives started quite simply but quickly grew and continue to evolve.

  • The annual School Supply Sale, which began in 1995, has generated over $300,000 for participating schools in the Carroll Independent School District. These funds have helped schools both enrich the curriculum for students in grades K-8 and provide school supplies for students needing assistance.
  • In the spring of 2000, the club hosted a new community event, and Art in the Square was born. Now with more than a decade under its belt, Art in the Square has helped the SWC raise and donate over $1.4 million for local charities. This three-day juried art festival, complete with family entertainment, food, and drinks, is held every April at the Southlake Town Square.
  • Another highly anticipated SWC event is our annual Valentine Luncheon at our local senior center. We provide a hearty meal and entertainment for a great group of enthusiastic seniors, along with raffle prizes and dancing!

These events, along with the SWC community outreach actions, social gatherings, and our scholarship program, make the Southlake Women’s Club a unique and worthwhile organization.

As of Fall 2011, the Southlake Women’s Club now meets on the second Thursday of every month at Sky Creek Ranch Golf Club in Keller. Our meetings are open to guests, and we encourage our members to invite any family members, friends, and neighbors who are interested in learning more about the club. And don't forget, we have many fun-filled social events throughout the year! All of our social events, meetings, and fundraisers appear on our calendar.
