Art in the Square is a three day annual juried fine art festival produced by the Southlake Women’s Club. It is held in the Southlake Town Square each year the last weekend in April. Attended by more than 80,000 visitors, Art in the Square also features quality entertainment, a bistro area with food and beverages and a children’s activity center sure to delight children of all ages. Dear Grant Request Applicant:

The Southlake Women's Club Foundation (SWCF) Mission Statement is as follows: The SWCF is dedicated to helping community organizations that focus on enhancing the lives of children and families in Northeast Tarrant County.

With our mission statement in hand, the Southlake Women's Club Foundation, Inc. appreciates your desire to help others. Outlined below are the criteria for selection of Art in the Square beneficiaries. The funding committee will review all applications that qualify according to the guidelines.

Please print and complete the Southlake Women's Club Foundation, Inc. Grant Request Application. Due to the amount of applications we receive, we require you carefully follow the 'Grant Request Application Guidelines' to be eligible for consideration. Any grant request applications that we receive not in compliance with these guidelines, will not be reviewed.

Grant Request Application Guidelines

  1. All grant request applications must be postmarked by Friday, January 11, 2008, no faxes or hand deliveries please.
  2. Submittals should only include what is requested. No extra information, such as notebooks, tapes, brochures, etc., allowed.
  3. All requests should be typewritten.
  4. Applicant/Agency must be a 501c3.
  5. Funding must service Northeast Tarrant County.
  6. Funding priorities: Children, Women and Families.
  7. Requests will not be considered which fund job positions, salaries, fundraisers, administrative or office expenses, volunteer or employee recognition trips or award ceremonies.
  8. Copy of IRS Charitable exemption letter.
  9. Copy of most recent 990 tax form.
  10. Copy of previous year, current year and proposed Agency/Applicant's budget.
  11. List of Board members including phone numbers.
  12. Sign, date and include phone number.

Grant selection and notification will take place in February.

The exact amount of each grant will not be determined until after the event. Checks will be mailed by the end of June.

Selected beneficiaries will be assigned four Art in the Square volunteer slots at notification.
