Community Outreach
The Southlake Women’s Club takes great pride in our membership’s dedication to volunteerism. Through our philanthropic programs, we strive to support the charitable, community, and educational endeavors of Northeast Tarrant County.
Some of our volunteer opportunities include Adopt – A- Street. Our Club has adopted Shady Oaks Drive, in Southlake. Quarterly, members of the club join with the City of Southlake to beautify this street by picking up the trash along the road side. Check the calendar for dates and times. We meet at Durham Elementary on Saturday mornings four times a year. Please contact Barbara Cohen, Community Outreach Chairperson, if you would like to participate.
Another volunteer opportunity that our club helps to sponsor is The Senior Citizen’s Valentine Luncheon. This event is held at the Southlake Senior Center, in February. The Southlake Women’s Club honor our area Senior’s by treating them to a delightful lunch with a Valentine theme. Complete with local entertainment, decorations, gifts and door prizes, make this a memorable time for all.
The Southlake Women’s Club also proudly supports our local charities. At our monthly meetings the members contribute items to help support the needs of: food pantries, homeless shelters, battered women’s shelter’s and numerous other charities.
